Everyday Cine Lens is a 32mm manual-focus photographic camera lens designed and manufactured by Adapted Optics for interchangeable-lens mirrorless cameras. This standard Cine configuration has a black 3D-printed lens body, black focus-ring components, black hardware, and a removable 0.8 MOD cine focus gear. It uses mounted photographic optical elements derived from disposable-camera-style optics. The optical design intentionally produces a distinctive creative image character that may include softness, flare, bloom, aberrations, and other characteristics associated with simple photographic optics.
The lens focuses manually from approximately 10 in (25 cm) to infinity. The removable 0.8 MOD gear allows the focus mechanism to interface mechanically with compatible cine-style follow-focus equipment. The lens has no autofocus motor, electronic contacts, electronic aperture control, image stabilization, or electronic communication with the camera. Some cameras may require the camera setting commonly called “Release without lens,” “Shoot without lens,” or an equivalent setting to be enabled.
The lens uses interchangeable physical aperture plates. The standard set includes approximately f/7, f/10, f/16, and f/23 circular apertures plus one creative cross-shaped aperture. Aperture is changed manually by installing the desired aperture plate.
The customer selects the appropriate camera mount when ordering. Available mounts are Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, and Micro Four Thirds. The lens is intended only for the mount selected at purchase and does not include electronic camera communication.
This product is made to order in the United States by Adapted Optics. Package contents include one assembled Everyday Cine Lens in the selected camera mount, removable 0.8 MOD cine focus gear, interchangeable aperture set, aperture storage, and product instructions. This is a creative photographic lens, not an OEM camera-manufacturer lens.
